What a fanny....

He said: "I said to the gaffer I would rather play a Premier League game than play against Hartlepool on possibly a bit of a dodgy pitch.

"No disrespect to Hartlepool, but you never know – they might want to start kicking lads who have got a bit of a name so I thought I would give that one a miss and try to get a run-out for the first team."

That's almost as bad as Mick McCarthy putting out his reserves against Manchester United. He would have been playing against fellow professional footballers, not thugs. Does he think he's not going to get challenged in Sunderlands next Premier League game.

A lot of people think Premier League footballers are overpaid namby-pampies.

I agree.
What puzzles me though is the fact that the people who call the premiership and it's overpaid players, make a major contribution to the whole charade by buying Sky products.
I am guilty of this................why do we do it???????

Sky Sport isn't just the Premiership though is it? But I agree to an extent. Although just about every footballer you see on tv these days must be earning over 100k a year, more than the majority of fans will ever earn (per year) during their working lives.
