spoke to a Cork City fan on The Frank & Walters message board. This is what he had to say...

Joe Gamble is, quite simply, the best defensive and disruptive midfielder we ever had. Got an international call up when still with Cork City. Won't score goals but he's hard, bossy and good with the ball.

A key player in the Keane type role.

His performances weren't up to his usual standard this year, but there's been a lot of off the field stuff going on at this club.

Sounds like he's exactly what we need. Cue Leeds or Ipswich to nip in before us taz

we are desperate now... I've defended Humphreys this season but he can't do it anymore - hasn't got the legs and is nowhere near combative enough for the centre of the park. He's a good one touch player, but seeing as Tubby is not playing that style it's pointless putting him in there now.
Sweeney is a non league player, he should be put up for sale - no ifs and no buts. He won't come good ever again at HUFC, or in League One. The time seems to have come to let go of some stalwarts and replace them or else we'll be back in L2 next season with 2,300 crowds.
Even with good players in, we still won't perform to our potential with CT in charge either!!!

Can we afford both their wages?

Time to ship some out imo.
