Never attended myself but I remember a murder happening outside the place. From what I remember it basically has the reputation of a knocking shop.

I got my first kicking in there at 16 and a half year old
When the bouncers picked me up and shot me out they started booting me when I was on the deck!! Bruised and aching for days after!!!
It's what makes us so friendly as a town though

Tapped up a lass in there in me youth, got a taxi pretty quickly, thought I was well in. Pulled up just outside her flats (!) She turned to kiss me, threw up her Corned Beef Pattie and Chips in my face, ran off into the flats.
Left me with an unused stiffy, corned-beef face-mask and a cleaning bill for the Taxi of 25 quid !!!!

When Caspers first opened it was a good night, great atmosphere. It went downhill after a while though, when I saw a lass get glassed in there I decided enough was enough.

They used to have a quiz in there apparently. The first question was: Who are you looking at?

The older 'female clientele' took great delight in embarassing young lads with their 'antics'... so rough the chair arms were tattooed.

It did have the reputation of a knocking shop though.

I was in their the night of the 'murder' unbelievable when they burst through the doors at the top with baseball bats and pick axe handles even had their dad and grandad with them if memory servers me right. I dived in that coat place on the right as was off home with a woman eating a corn beef item. They rattled the bats round the coat hatch and charged down the stairs and I bailed out thirty seconds later I would have been mullied

Great night in the Devon watching the old brasses rolling the fodgies off the boats for there hard earned money.
There was some great charactors in there and the little bottles of Brown ale were lush.
Remember the Sheff Utd fans getting trapped down there and getting a right good kicking.
