On a statue of a person on a horse, if the horse has both frontlegs in the air, the person died in battle;
If the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle, If the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

Basically it was an oversight in the treaty of Versailles which left the state of Andorra off the signatories. Consequently Germany and Andorra were still at wat when WW2 started.
