.. cats, from your Mummy and Daddy'... said the card in the card shop. Now I have nothing against cats, or any other household pet, but when I saw that card and others of a similar ilk in their own section, I did wonder.
Now either some people with a personality so dismal, believe their feline mouser has a perception of Xmas and actually has a complete human personality, or cats have now started buying cards to send to all the kittens they've produced over the years (very unlikely)...so I'll go with the the sad conclusion there are some idiots with too much money. O.K. while a card may only cost three quid, why not send it to a charity where some kid in the Third World may derive some good from it.
Honestly, the cat doesn't give a fook anyway.

And how many of the customers thought "Bloody hell, talk about preachy...". I can see why it might work for a company to project an image. But if a friend of mine did this to me (which essentially says "I was going to buy you a present, but I'd rather absolve my middle-class guilt"), well, I would be slightly peeved.

to be honest we didnt do it to be preachy we did it because an email takes 5 minutes to do and buying the cards writing them out posting them etc takes ages, so everyone wins.

Aye but you forgot to mention that in order to get the stocking, your Skye has to rip it of a loid's leg..............which is a totally acceptable method of acquiring it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mind you, cats are harder to strangle than dogs.... No, it's not the idea of buying a dog a treat, it's the breathtaking idiocy and sheer dumbness of treating a cat like a human and sending it a fookin card ...and from 'Mummy and Daddy' rage

I agree with this. I like cards and presents and I like Christmas...not because it's a Christian festival but because it harks back to a time when people had proper regard for booze-ups and feasts pertaining to seasons and the natural world.( :coool: )

Some people I know have said they'll be giving to charity in future instead of sending cards. I felt like writing back and saying I give to charity and send cards.

Do you read all of our posts you intently or have a Darlo Pete style log book? Sunday, if you want to know note that down in between drinking Special Brew and diddling your cats.

I'd be keen to know how they packaged said goat for Save the Kids.

Cardboard box with air-holes in? sctatchinghead

Cats. That might go half way to explaining the awful stench when Sussex comes on here. stpid

That's his nylon Y fronts festering on his flacid body, especially when he can't get hold of his usual industrial stregth deoderant to try and mask the rancid odour oozing from his orifices.
