27th/28th December. 2 nights, 2 people. 1 x Double room & breakfast

Premier inn - marina £144
Grand Hotel - £108

Can't be right surely! I know the Grand ain't what it used to be but its still comfortable and you don't get much more central. Moreover, their breakfasts are spectacular! Got to be better than that plastic microwaved shite they serve in the premier inns.

I would definitely go for the Grand if I was you, but I'm guessing you've decided that already!

Best Western isn't a chain. it's a sort of club where members join together and as a large group can buy from their suppliers at much better rates than on their own. Like a purchasing organisation. It was started in America and hotels must be of a certain standard to join. They pay a small percentage of their purchasing costs to the Best Western organisation.

Either way mr pedant the hotel rooms have improved, as has the bar and restaurant, so does it matter?

Can't be right surely! I know the Grand ain't what it used to be but its still comfortable and you don't get much more central. Moreover, their breakfasts are spectacular! Got to be better than that plastic microwaved shite they serve in the premier inns.

Why not invite POK up to share the room too. The cost could be split!
