Im thinking of going over for the world cup as our lasses sister lives over there in Jo'berg, is anybody else toying with the idea ?

I went over about 7 years ago to a place called Margate and apart from the mother in law getting shot, thinking i was going to get robbed at gunpoint at one time and driving for about 6 hours to go to Rorkes Drift and swerving to miss a pot hole and hitting a rock which put a hole in the petrol tank not far away from the place and having to turn round and go back and find a airport to change the car and never getting there banghead

it was a lovely place

Anybody fancy it ?

Im gonna get in contact with her and see about renting a place if there is enough who fancy it, something a bit nice with pool and use it as a base camp

England have like 4,000 for the first game

they are just asking for black market shit

I'd love to go but you're going to need a shit load of money more than pervious World Cups.

I heard the FA fans liaison guy on Talksport the other day and if England reached the final to see every game by buying tickets legitimately you are looking at $8,000 US, how much are they going to be on the black market given England only get about 5,000 official tickets per game?

Also you have the logistical problems, Johannesburg and Cape Town are 1400 Km's apart, two of England’s group game venues Port Elizabeth and Cape Town are over a 1000 Km's apart. This almost certainly rules out driving between the venues, airlines are going to be chocker and expensive. Hotels similar, camping is an option but seen as it's in the winter in South Africa would you really want to do it?

A once in a lifetime thing or you are someone who has about £20,000 lying spare, I haven't but I'm going to Indonesia on Sunday for three weeks that will do me for now!!

A mate at work is going over, his brother lives in Cape Town and he has managed to get tickets fro the England v Algeria game, seeing as he is classed as a South African national he only paid £12 per ticket

im defnitly going thinking of going for 2weeks and try to see as many games as possible bit worried bout the violence out there but if we stay in numbers should be ok
