I think Jo Brand, now that Boris has moved on.
Not only are her own jokes funny (pretty rare for a comedian  ) but she's good at getting other people in on the act.

I think that they should give Peter Sutcliffe a go.

It's between Alexander Armstrong & Jack Dee, for me. Jo Brand was very good last time out - certainly getting better.

Managed to catch a few of the old episodes where he was in the chair a week or two ago (Dave repeats). He was very good, but got the feeling that he was too easily out thought by Ian Hislop & Paul Merton - and couldn't really respond or fight back. Mind you, there aren't many who can...

Kent, that's the most brilliant idea ever.

I can already imagine the Hislop-and-Merton mincemeat job.....

Something that still makes me laugh from a previous Brand appearance....they showed a clip of a catwalk with some models prancing up and down it in designer gear. Suddenly a crack appeared in the floor, and one of the models fell through it.
JB watched this for a bit and then said waspishly, "Serves her right for being so bleeding thin."

Martin Clunes is excellent on HIGNFY whenever he's on.

Those episodes with Boris though - some of the best TV ever. He's wasted in politics.

Have you heard Sorry I Haven't A Clue with Jack Dee as the new host? It's nowhere near as good.

My favourite was Brian Blessed. Mad as a bag of snakes.

I don't think there should be a regular presenter, the guest thing works very well for me.

I think you're right, they probably have a queue of people wanting to do it, and there could be a natural for the job that hasn't yet done it.

But if they did pick a new regular, I would go for Alexander Armstrong.
