That was one of the most one-sided games of football I have ever listened to.

I think it certainly needs to be pointed out that we could have easily been 1-0 down after another clumsy piece of goalkeeping from Flinders and they looked capable enough going forward. But other than the Flinders moment and a 5 minute purple patch at the start of the second half from Millwall (which you always get when one team is well behind) I thought Pools bossed the game very efficiently.

Bjornsson was superb. Millwall's defence clearly didn't like being up against him, his touch was superb, his distribution excellent and he took his goal really well. Obviously it would be silly to get carried away but his last two starts have been very encouraging. I can't imagine many more defences in this league will fancy being up against him.

McSweeney too was very good on the wing and should certainly start in that position against Southend. I think Peter Hartley also deserves a mention. He's had a pretty rotten season so far I feel but he did very little wrong today, scored a goal and did everything asked of him.

I'm absolutely buzzing after that game. Especially after the corresponding fixture v Millwall last season sent me into a very dark mood indeed!

Come on Pools.

I agree totally. Bjornsson was great. Hartley did well today too. I thought Collins was outstanding like, even better than Liddle (who got motm)

Yes I thought the defence did well and I was pleased Flinders shrugged off his early howler to record a clean sheet. That double save he made from inside the 6 yard box in the second half was particularly impressive. Should do his confidence no end of good.

i have to say the doubts were certainly there going into the match especially when Jones pulled out last minute. At times we rode our luck and on another day we could very easily have conceded 3 goals.

But i was very impressed with the work ethic from every single one of them, they chased and harried anything with a pulse. Those who were suggesting that Turner has lost the dressing room (not sure if it was this board or another) will have to rethink that statement.

i was VERY impressed with Bjornsson, he showed some fantastic touches, the control and chip over the defender for the sweeney chance 2nd half was sublime. Even Boyd looked great at times and took his goal well.

Special mention has to go for the central midfielders, those 2 players come in for the most stick yet i though both played really well and bossed the midfield.

Long may this feeling continue! clappp

I concur with that.

That flick by Bjornnsson for sweeney was awesome. Its a pity the ref seemed to ignore the pull on Sweeney's shirt as it looked a clear penalty to me.
