For the last 10 yrs we have had a real tree. Ths year the Nordman we normally get is on sale for in the region of £75, yup £75/ We shall be getting a false one until prices come down.

I really cant imagine anyone paying that much to throw it out in a few weeks time

We've got a real one from B&Q for the last few years, not their cheapest one but about £20-odd for a good size one, and they beat the hell out of the pap that my sister gets from Welly Hill Farm.

Not getting one this year like as a bit worried that the baby might think the needles are food.

The mrs wanted a black christmas tree this year so she could accessorise it with purple n silver decorations to go with our room and other Next bought decorations.

What the fluck did buying a tree become a fashion show?

She's easy spint £150 on decorations and little christmas ornaments.

Fool!!

Wouldn't pay £75 for a real tree, but I'd pay quite a lot...it's worth it for the smell of pine, if nothing else.
We usually get ours from Home Base or one of the local garden centres for about 20-25 quid. Shincliffe Garden Centre's pretty good, but pos. not local for you, Mick.
