Would it not be better to form the party first, It's £150 and I can't fund that myself but I'd put up a tenner straight away then use the walsall game to launch the party / candidates / manifesto etc.

I'm sure I could have a worrd in a few ears in pools to let us have some airspace at half time, perhaps a bit in the chairmans colum or Russ's colum in the programme especially if they think that the ground issue is a part of the manifesto.

Having said that I'd like to see some proposals from pools, at least outline proposals to offer more sports facillities for the kids..

As for targeting the labourgoons then that's ok but we should be pushing to get a candidate in every seat .........just imagine a party of 17 poolie pride candidates.....the power of influence that would have in the town politics.

Couldthis be a proposal to get things moving?

Appologies for the typo errors in my last post.

What we need to be aware of also is the generic flavour of the month topic candidates that we might attract.

Some people will change colours as fast as a chameleon fart if it gets them into the press / public meetings etc and these might be attracted to a poolie pride ticket. As people these are probably good people but only interested in the issue of the moment and not the well being of the town in general.

We might need a selection committee to agree candidates for the election and even if it means not fielding a full team of 17 candidates then this might be better than being hijacked by wanna be local gobshites.
