Very poor tonight after the first 25 minutes. Kavanagh ran the midfield for Carlisle. We showed less penetration than Pele without his blue pills.

Flinders 4 - Tricky conditions but could have held the first goal and as for letting the Matty cross drop in, jeez, like ALB on a bad day

Hartley 5 - Given hard time by Hurst who Carlisle fans think is garbage.

Collins 7

Liddle 7

Austin 6 - probably his quietest game

Humphreys 4 - I'm a big Humphreys fan, tonight was poor.

Sweeney 3 - Just fuck off Sweeney.

McSweeney 6

Monkhouse 5 - Could have put us back in it when put in an outstanding position by a superb Boyd pass. Piss poor squandering of opportunity instead. Didn't look too bad when pushed up front.

Boyd 6

Bjonsson 2 - A six foot five roll of lino stood on its end in the box would have had more impact on the game. So very lacking in any combative spirit.

Subs

Fredrikksen 5

Clark 5 - one forward pass in 21 minutes but as usual passed it sideways and backwards but at least to pools players

Baby David 6 - At least looked interested

Bizarrely we could have snatched an utterly undeserved point if the referee had given the absolutely stonewall handball penalty in the dying minutes. But it would have been an injustice. A very disheartening evening. So bad that the arrival of baby David improved our attacking threat.

McSweeney a 6, christ what game where you at! Bjornsson did more in the first 30mins than mcsweeney did in the 90 mins he got. And how exactly does boyd get a 6 when he barely touched the ball yet Bjornsson gets a 2 when he started the game well until we stopped playing it into his feet and he scored a goal! Bjornsson did fairly well for the garbage service the front two got.

I have to hold my hand up and say that I arrived as pools were celebrating Bjornsson's goal. In the next 65 minutes I saw him show all the attacking threat and physical presence of the andrex puppy.

Boyd made a couple of key passes that only he could make. In particular one in the second half deadweight and curled through 3 players to put Monkhouse in on goal. But little else.

McSweeney got a 6 on the grounds that I didn't notice him do much wrong, but on reflection I didn't see him do much at all. Perhaps I was too generous.

Think some them bit harsh and some bit genorous although we got what we deserved

Flinders 6, wind made it difficult in first half

Hartley 5

Collins 5

Liddle 7

Austin 5

Humphreys 5

Sweeney 4

McSweeney 6

Monkhouse 6

Boyd 5

Bjonsson 5

Subs

Fredrikksen 6

Clark not marking got what 15 minutes

Foley got maybe 25 minutes, so give him a 5,

To me a 5 is average and I don't believe any player goes out to perform badly as you can see to many average, couple above including Fredriksen who was a sub, and to me Sweeney worst Pools player on the pitch AGAIN.

when Sweeney meekly chipped the ball into the keeper's hands from the bye-line in the 2nd half he should have been hauled straight off. No confidence, no thinking, getting rid of the responsibility of the ball as soon as he could even though it meant giving the ball away = no use at all to the team. He should have come off then.

Have people decided Bjornnsson is shite and that's it?

Because he didn't do a lot wrong last night when we got the ball up to him his touch was decent and he layed it off to an orange shirt he was good for the first half an hour..... 2 out of 10 sctatchinghead We played poorly in other areas which made it hard for the forwards who had no service, Boydy had a quiet night (and at times a really poor one) but he had to go searching (like Monkhouse did) for the ball due our rubbish midfield. Then to give the awful McSweeney a 6?? He put in a lovely ball for the goal after five minutes, apart from that I really don't see what the lad contributes.

Sweeney is that bad at the moment I feel really sorry for him I have rarely seen a once decent player so devoid of confidence.
