hahaha i didnt come on here to get peoples backs up m8, its the idiotic kids on here who just dont seem to understand the importance of life....at the end of the day pools promote themselves too, if they got no fans m8 they couldnt survive just like any other footy club, ....the same as us...the custom goes ya have to close....obviously pools dont really need to advertise now cos theyre a pretty big club

Admittedly things have got clouded over a bit on this thread. The point is that the owner of the board doesn't like people using it for advertising. A second point is that it would have been common courtesy to ask him first whether you could put an ad on here.

The third point, that you didn't seem to take the first time, is that if everyone put an ad on here, the board would be inundated and people would stop reading it.
If you had any sense, you'd stop posting now.

I regularly walk my dog past a house in Clifton Avenue where they have that portable advert thing that can be towed about with the King Cod logo on it, also there's a white van with the business name on it.
Always difficult these days to stay open in business with greedy landlords and greedy rates people effectively killing you off. I feel sorry for anyone who loses cash in a business venture when everyone else who bleeds you dry doesn't have to work for what they take from you. It's all wrong, and in 10/15 years there won't be any small businesses left at this rate.
I also heard today our former pub The Woodcutter is going to have a manager installed by the brewery in a few days just to keep it open until a new tenant comes forward, but that isn't going to happen unless the greedy Valuation Office and the greedy Brewery make concessions to not take everything off you that you make, and expose the tenant to a loss making situation - the evil exploiting cynical bastards that they are.

ALL pubs should be owned by the landlord and no one should be able to own more than five, it should be run as a business where the landlord can buy their stock wherever they want and breweries and pub companies wouldn't be allowed to own one ....come the revolution.
