We've never advertising on this site but I had a call this morning which I think should be an exception.

Simon Weston (badly burned Falklands veteran) called me and asked me to spread the word, he's pretty much ringing everyone he knows today.

A website has been set up which works the same as 'Go Compare / Money supermarket etc but with a difference: this one gives 70% of its profits to forces charities. (The remainder will pay for admin costs and a few salaries.) One thing I wasn't aware of is that all of the major comparision websites are wholly owned by banks, this one isn't, its entirely charitable.

Therefore I am asking that if you are in the market for insurance then please give it a try rather than throwing more money at bankers bonuses. Give it a go at least:

The address is http://www.forcesdeal.com

You don't have to have to be a serving or former serviceman to use the site.

Incidentally, he's not beyond taking the piss out of himself either:

I asked how he and their lass were etc, he replied that it wasn't going to well and they were splitting up after he found out she had been playing away. I was a bit shocked and he said that there's no doubt, he had absolute proof. He said " we've got four kids and after all these years I suddenly realised they must be someone elses". How can you be sure" says I.

He replied "It's obvious isn't it? four kids and not one of them looks like me"

I'll certainly be giving them a go.

Car insurance  ...I've always been with the same big firm for years, too idle to change probably. Thought this years quote was taking the piss, so tried to get it lowered and they managed to konock £4 off the premium  ... went on line and quckly knocked £150 off the premium like for like....when I phoned to cancel my original policy, I was put through to the manager who miraculously knocked £160 off.....and still lost my business.

My car insurance is due next month. My current insurers have sent me a renewal quote so I contacted the forces one, put in my details and was given a choice of twelve companies. EVERY single one of them is quoting cheaper than my current one, between twenty and fifty pounds saving depending on which one I choose.
All I have to do now is select one and I'm saving money as well as helping a worthy cause.
Check it out, men.
Cheers Mr I.

I've passed the address around my work. Others could maybe do the same? Word of mouth is great marketing.
