Wigan have announced that they will refund money to all those who had a ticket for the Spurs game.

Quite right to. It's only a shame more Clubs don't do that.

Thats bollocks mate.
You pay your money & take your chance, its sport anything can happen. If you want a guaranteed happy ending go see a Disney film instead of a live sporting event.

True Mr. Crimes.

Thank God I've never seen 'Pools play that badly to give me the opportunity of experiencing something like that.

Attendance - 1808 for a locat derby - what was the crack there - did Darlo fans not travel in the 80's either?

Except most Wigan fans will have ripped thewm to shreds in disgust.
You'll be coming out with a tariff next...
Beaten by six goals.... refund and a signed card from the players
Beaten by seven goals... refund, signed card and the pick of the players wives or girlfriends for a weekend.
Beaten by eight goals.... the above and a free season ticket next seaon
Beaten by nine goals... the above and the manager and board flogged at half time.
Beaten by ten goals .. as above and the managers head on a stick and the coaches bollox on a kebab skewer.
TEN... DON'T GO THERE.

we were leading 2-1 in that match as well!! What makes it worse is, Prudhoe was dogshit in goal for Pools that day but when he played for them in that 0-0 draw he was brilliant. I fu-cking hate that!!

You know, you've got to admire the set-up that there is at Wigan.

Marlon King got sent down. What did Dave Whelan do? He sacked him on the spot.

Wigan get thrashed against Spurs. What do the players do? Help to pay back loyal fans who saw them thrashed by one of the largest goal margins in Premier League history.

It could only happen at a club called Wigan Athletic.

In my opinion, other Clubs should look at the example Wigan are setting here and learn from them.

This is probably the worst performance from 'Pools whilst I've been supporting them:

Well, what I was saying was Wigan are perceived to be the little Club made good, where the dream of the Promised Land of the Premiership was fulfilled.

My point is that only a club really with their history as a family Club could offer to pay back their fans.

Yes he did. There was a modest Pools crowd that night. And I think I was the only Poolie there who missed Super Cooper with the free tickets. rage

At least we won.

If I remember rightly Paul Robinson got the winner - he picked the ball up from about 50 yards out, and took the ball past three or four defenders before picking his spot. I was convinced he would be tackled as he was a right sticky get at times.

I also vividly remember driving home through Chesterfield town centre and it was full of scantily clad young bewers, on a Tuesday night in a cold month! I nearly crashed the car twice.

Can you imagine one of the Big Four Clubs doing something like that after a terrible result?

It's a bit unlikely.

He did yes, we got mullered 4-0 away at Blackpool, we were utter dogshit that day. I got a ticket off Town End Twin who'd got a bunch of them off Neale Cooper outside the players entrance. There was some quality barracking of Paul Warhurst that night by certain Bunkerites, although the Bunker didn't exist then. clappp clappp

Wigan fans were only granted 565 tickets for this game.

Thats not much is it?

People winge about our away end but even we offer more than that!!
