This is completley silly. They were booing him before we scored.

It was an excuse. They hate Flinders because he's ex Barnsley and they're jelous because he helped Barnsley get promoted and put them in the shadow of their rivals.

So everytime he took a goalkick they booed and claimed time wasting.

I didn't even realise who he was until after the game, neither would most normal fans, only anoraks would have known who he was or who he had played for.

No one had an issue with him until the ball boy threw the ball to him, he bent down to pick it up and pretended to miss it so that it ran across the other side of the box, so he could then go and collect it and walk all the way back to the other side of the box. The ref knew what was going hence the 4 minutes added on at the end of the first half but god knows why he didn't book the twat

We have to put up with that most weeks, as i'm sure you have to at times, i don't like it, but it happens so get over it, accept it and welcome to the board

The referee was clueless all game TBH.

If he knew what was going on why did he not confer more closely with the linesman when your first goal went in and he [linesman] waved for some infringement and was totally ignored by the ref?

The ball that the erm " gentleman " referred to that was thrown back on to the pitch was the ball that had just gone out. It looked to me that a member of the crowd threw it back but whoever threw it was returning the ball that had just gone out.
This happened a few times because Huddersfield were playing the multi ball system. You know the system where the ball boys are instructed to throw it quick when it is the home ball but to dally a bit when its an away ball. As is usually the case there were three or four occasions when there were two balls on the pitch, leaving the referee no option other than to stop and restart the game.
There was even an incident when the referee had to stop Hudds taking a quick free kick from OFF the pitch.

Flinders was doing nothing wrong and was never spoken to by the referee for timewasting although the ref did speak to Collins as captain about something But I couldn't hear from where I was!!!!!!!!
I decide to time both goalies with the time taken for goal kicks...........there was nothing in it...........obviously our friend from 'udds didn't notice any of that.

In the first half Flinders had nothing to do as the Town attack were akin to a damp squib.

The second half was different in that we surrendered the midfield and sat back. A Turner tactic ???? Only he can answer that.
As an attacking force in the second half we were non existent.........just sat back and attempted to ride our luck, but it ran out.
We just hoofed the ball aimlessly out of defence and of course it came straight back, unlike the first half where at least we strung a few passes together.

Lee Clark and the crowd appear to be trying to intimidate the officials, and with a bit of success, which is probably why their away form is not that of a potential promotion winning team.

I was more disappointed in the capitulation of Pools than I was impressed by Town. They are no great shakes.

In fairness lads I think the Huddersfield fans are spot on. Did we not realise before the start of the game that it was our obligation to make life easy for a team that had scored 10 goals in their last two home league games

Being serious though I have seen keepers booked for what Flinders was doing.

we were in the rope walk next to the cinema from 1 till 2.30 then from 5 till 6.30 and saw no bother between fans and to say the traffic after the game was bad is a bit of an understatement to say the least it was still busy at 6.30.
we were in the stand to the left of the pools supporters and i thought i had gotten away with sitting amongst them until we scored and i jumped up
but there was no bother but the bastads all looked my way when they equalised then got the winner.

hmm it was funny how towards the end when the Town goalie was taking an age that was of course just being professional. The way the ref booked any Pools tackles I am sure had a penalty ready if needed.

Flinders was taking no longer than Huddersfield's keeper to take goal kicks, it was because we were one nil up and they should win 6-0 every week....
