I know they're premiershit and all that but fair play to them, they're sitting in 8th place. I had no idea until I indvertantly stumbled upon their league table. Apart from the big spenders and Villa they're next. Not bad.

Are you suggesting that Sunderland over the last couple of years aren't 'big spenders' they've pissed money away with the best of them.

The only reason Sunderland are in that position is due huge investment from foreign owners and at the end of day what is it going to win them? What does a Sunderland fan have to look forward to? finishing 7th behind clubs you can't possibly compete with no matter how much money you pay Darren Bent....

Drew away at Man U and beat Liverpool at home in their last three matches. Granted the third they lost away at Birmingham, but surely the Man U and Liverpool games make your statement sound a little bit silly?

I agree with this I cant see Sunderland being too far off where they are now come the end of the season.

i've never seen you at the vic when sunderland have been playing at home.

I've been to the Stadium of Light four times since it opened.

Twice on freebies, once to watch Pools (in the POOLS END!) and a couple of years ago to watch Sunderland v Liverpool with some scouse supporting mates and Mr Thornley who tagged along for the beer and strippers. None of those have clashed with a Pools home game.

Hope that helps.

I can confirm that rumour, it's handy for playing 5-a-side in.

My little boy also has this season's shirt, although he's not walking yet so 5-a-side might be a little beyond him. He dribbles in it though.
