Anyone with a copy of the current Monkey Business will know all about this from the FA Cup guide.

Becasue Leeds draw a bigger audience than any other team in the draw at the moment.

I know they have a big fan base and therefore can draw a large amount of viewers...

...but it was only the other week ago you were live on Sky against Norwich. The TV companies show you so many time.

Surely it's time for the companies to show somebody different for a change...

I wonder who that could be? sctatchinghead

The world's greatest cup competition?
What about the Sunderland Shipowners' Cup, like?
And while I'm on, ever thought that telly might show matches with Leeds in because they think they'll get a good audience figure?

Well, what else do you expect people to talk about when they see the FA Cup.

The FA Cup IS romance.

I'd like to refer the Honourable Gentleman to the post I made earlier in the thread about the choice of games.

You need to get out more.

And get yourself a bird.

Failing that, have you got a dog or cat at home? If so, go and stick your cock in them, it'll keep you off the computer for a couple of minutes.

Also going to be on at home to Grimby in the JPT.

It's like Newcastle on tv nearly every week, it just gets more viewers. They aint really fussed about being fare to other teams, just wat makes most money.

At least you'll prob get a laugh at watching us go out again, least it can't be as bad as Histon.

Being shown free online which is odd.

It doesn't. These cup games will be shown free on ITV and the FA's website.

What about Havant and Waterlooville taking the lead against Liverpool at Anfield?

What about Histon knocking Leeds United out?

What about a team called Hartlepool United knocking Premier League Stoke City out? clappp

i don't know.... getting as win against Fleetwood, even though they gave us a scare in the fog felt pretty good, even if they were nobodies.

Us taking 10,000 to Sunderland and torturing them (but getting beat) was pretty special.

The FA cup is still special to most clubs

My friend, taking a lady out for a pint and a bag of chips IS romance. The FA Cup is a footy competition. There's no romance in it, excitement sometimes, romance no.

it's the tv companies and the fa who say the romance of the cup because it's now just a product they are trying to sell

sorry to be a pedant but leeds are actually the second best supported team in the draw at the moment. norwich are the best supported team. their average attendance at carrow road is 24,109, well ahead of leeds. their cummulative attendance is also comfortably higher.

Yup, Norwich will always bring in a larger tv audience than Leeds rolfl

So what about current crowds, We would still draw the biggest audience on tv by far. When Norwich's cheapest ticket for tranmere at home is £17 and our prices were £31 (with a limited amount on £26 which sold out well before the day of the game) it's no suprise they get slightly higher crowds. Every team we have been away to this season we have given them the biggest attendance of the season.

No team in this league compares to Leeds, it is big headed but true.

Leeds United are no longer a big club. They may have been a big draw a few years ago but now they are just another League one club. No-one outside of Leeds cares.
