A little while ago in Aldershot a 49 year old bloke called Frank Clarke was walking home after a night out. Admittedly he had drank a few too many and was pretty incapable. Enter stage right a group of five young thugs who beat him to a stupor and put fags out on his face. Frank Clark is taken into hospital and was in a coma for a fortnight.

The thugs were identified and arrested and have now been released on bail albeit their names have not been released.

These guys now have a pretty major problem; Frank Clark is ex 3 Para and a Falklands veteran (and ex another unit based in Hereford). Aldershot is a town with a major population of ex Para Regt and other military. To add to that the best part of 3 Airborne Brigade are awaiting with baited breath the publication of the names of these guys. A number of Police officers in Aldershot are ex military. Their names will become public and the error of their ways will become apparent.

Justice will undoubtedly be forthcoming and it won't be pretty.

Serious question Mr I,the link to the message board has a character called Oil Slick.Have you any idea what the emblem on his avatar is supposed to represent ?

On topic - its about time thugs got substantial prison sentences for an unprovoked violence,Im not a big supporter of vigilante justice but if the law of the land is not going to administer it you cant be surprised when the public do.

Obviously its a Swaztika inside the EU stars, make of that what you will. On a similar subject, my missus is a Hindu and even though I know the background I still find it off and a bit chilling when I see Swaztikas blazoned all over her mums.

yeah,I see what it is,just curious if it has some meaning within military circles as that board seems to be a military board.

The avatar that is not the board. The general politics on the board is typical military, very slightly right of centre.

Fully agree. In the paper there was a story about some females who were all family from Grimsby who kicked the living shit out of this bloke for no apparent reason for eight minutes. They got six months each which I think is unbelievable.

Lorraine Graham, landlady of The Trafalgar, was very distressed about Mr Clark’s condition.

She said: "I can’t tell you what I honestly think about what has happened to him. All I will say is that he’s an ex-Para lad. The airborne brotherhood is far and wide."

The Traf is the spiritual home of the Parachute Regiment by the way.

Quite, there are swaztika's all over in Korea, couldnt figure it out until i learned that the Swaztika was in fact for centuries the biggest symbol of peace you could find, and then Hilter nicked it, angled it a bit and now its the most hated symbol in the world !!! my korean partner is coming to H/pool in a few weeks and was a bit miffed and confused when i told her she would have to remove her Buddist symbol she has in the form of a necklace............................

Very true Mr Parry, they're all over the bhuddist and taoist monuments here also, but as has been said, all reversed from the Nazi's type. Still a bit disconcerting though at first sight. confised
