best of luck mate, I am quitting AGAIN when I go to Cuba next monday for two weeks, if I manage it there I will be ok, I have cut down a lot lately and smoke at most about 6 a day

Muttley - I stopped three months ago and have no desire to smoke at all - except odd occasions when drinking lots of alcohol. If you really do want to stop then my advice would be
a) cut down on the alcohol (this was really important for me)
b) read Allen Carr's book The Only Way to Stop Smoking Permanently

It worked for me and I'd been smoking for twenty years. And it worked for a friend of mine who was one of those people you'd never expect to give up ever.

He reckons the willpower and substitute chuddy and patches dont work for most people - but that HIS BOOK WILL WORK without any need for anything else. Cheers for that BWH, I have paul mckennas (dont know how to spell it) book and to be honest haven read it all the way through which is probably why I am still smoking. I am aiming to start stopping on Tuesday as I am going to Cuba and think it is a prime oppertunity to stop as going with someone who doesnt smoke. Its hard at the moment as you get into routines as people I work with smoke and my flat mate does so always going out for a cig as part of breaks and adverts on the tv.
