I wrote to the Mail yesterday complaining about this, and here is the reply I received today :

Thank you for your email, Ms Stringer.

As you point out, you realise the story had nothing to do with Antony Sweeney, and the strapline attached to his picture in the same colours included his name for clarity and a reference directly under his photograph to the Back Page - clearly not linking him to the story above.

Although to be fair Mr Bap her reply is absolute tosh.

I hadn't got a chance to read Monday's Mail so I had a look last night and her claim of clarity is the biggest pile of bull bollocks that I've read since I last saw a post from OO. She'd have been better admitting that they'd made a bit of a cockup.

I think we might have to ask Mr Sweeney at the next home game why the Mail think that he's a sex pest.
