I've just watched the BBC4 documentary on Hawkwind through YouTube - great insight into the band. Shame that Brock wouldn't participate, it would have completed the picture perfectly.
Now that's rock and roll!!!!!

In 1987 I was walking home from The Telstar & saw a bewer walking along with a walkman on,I stopped her & asked what she was listening to & it was Hawkwind.
She then invited me to her house where she plied me with marijuana & had sex with me while I was stoned.

Why doesn't that happen to me when I walk home from the Telstar?

I've seen that documentary a couple of times now. They have stuck by their principles (or should that be lack of principles) and all surviving members are still playing in various bands. I was lucky enough to know them in the Lemmy era. Dave Brock is the last original member of the band & they're touring in December, support is from Arthur Brown (he did 'Fire') he is now 65. Nik Turners band Space Ritual really capture the original Hawkwind sound and atmosphere and are worth looking up.

So it's as simple as that, just ask a girl what she's listening too and your in?
