Yeah, I thought that was strange. I know I may have listened on 'Pools World, but it seems to me as if we didn't CREATE enough chances in the entire game.

I started to have concerns when Mark Simpson on 'Pools World said that Grimsby were beginning to dominate us in the early stages of the first half.

A strange comment from Turner, that.

We had shots on target, but tame ones, apart from Boyds chance the keeper tipped on to the crossbar.

I really hope he didn't say "we passed them off the park"

Yes Chris, that's what happpens when you go 2-0 down against a team who are in a lower division, they tend to sit back and let you have the ball but defend in numbers.

Mind, they missed a better chance than we had all night to go 3-0 up just before half time. So they didn't get in our half twice either....

That was right in front of me, couldn't believe he missed it. I would probably have walked out if it had gone in, something I haven't done since my paper round days over 40 years ago.

Football!?

We lumped balls into Bjornnson's chest and head all night.

Also someting that is not right.....

Why the fook is Austin playing at left back and Haslam right back when Austin is much better going forward? I think Haslam is a decent player don't get me wrong but it seems ridiculous that Austin get's the into areas that might hurt the oppostion but has to use his weaker foot, and from the halfway line he can on play the same clipped bal with his left foot. Haslam is a good defender let him defend, play Austin in his best position......

Got to disagree with you there im disappointed with Haslam he looks like he is scared when people run at him with the ball. As for Austin playing left back this might be to try and compliment Monkey. Against Wycombe at home Monkey didnt start getting the ball untill Austin came on which helped change the game. If Turner insists on playing Austin left back I would prefer to see Sweeney right back instead of Haslam but as soon as Clark is fit he would fit straight in at right back.

I think he would do a very good job at right back.

How about Boyd at right back? Didnt he play on the wing a few weeks ago?

Im not quite sure of the word. What does this mean?

No he'd struggle as he has no pace and has hardly if ever played full back. Square pegs in round holes don't work, Neil Austin is our best right back where do you reckon he should play?*

*I think probably at right back......

Clark has no pace? He is certainly quicker than a lot of our players at the club. Yes i agree with you that Austin is our best right back and he was brilliant there against Walsall. The cross field balls he was playing to Monkey were fantastic but if Turner insists on playing him left back then Haslam isnt the answer for me.

Are you seriously going to tell me that Ben Clark is quick? Really!?

If he was he wouldn't be playing for Pools.

Don't be daft.

Next thing you know, Richie Humphreys will be playing as a defensive, holding midfielder and the answer to all our problems in the middle!

He isnt lightening but he isnt slow. I would say he is quicker than Collins, Humphreys, Boyd, Liddle and I would include Sweeney to name a few. I think Clark would be able to do a job in most positions as he is a natural footballer and one of the best at the club.

No doubt that Austin is the best right back at the club im not denying that.

I disagree I think he could do a job at right back, centre back and would be a decent holding midfield player some may not like it but I think he would do a better job there than Humphreys.

Would you play Clark when he was fit because I cant see a player of his quality willing to sit on the bench. He would be in the majority of teams starting 11 in this league.

Ben Clark was shocking playing that role towards the back end of last season, he was awful, I rate him as player and like him but he is a centre back.

Square pegs in round holes rarely work.

I would prefer him in his natural position at centre back with Liddle but if that cant happen I would certainly play him before Humphreys (who I dont rate at all).
