On tonights report made me feel like booting my foot through that Clems bloody gob.

He gets to us and states that after Saturday it looks like Pools are just about punching above their weight and judging by their crowds it looks like they really are the smallest club in the division. banghead banghead banghead banghead

What the feck do home crowds have anything to do with an away performance and why say we are the smallest club in division. violin

IOR must wonder what they have to do to raise our profile on dear old BBC. refred

Just who the feck is this clem anyway. rage

'Punching above their weight'.... how I hate and detest that condescending phrase. What it really means is 'how dare they'. It's a nasty little put down of a phrase, that's used to look sneeringly down on the achievements of the unfashionable clubs and is the equivalent of a dismissive wave of the hand against a club like Pools achievements. a way of saying it can't last, a flash in the pan .... failure is inevitable, know your place.

He was on BBC Radio Tees aka Radio Local aka Radio Borer for years, Borer fundamentalists with their own programme before Brownlee returned to preach the football bible according to the boro.
I believe Brownle has a breeding programme for boro reporters and they're created in test tubes in the cellar of said Radio station.

They really can't actually, they have a mythical point between their radio station and the riverside ground and the further you are away from that point, the less important you are... we're on the edge of their universe... the Pluto of their perception, while the boro is the Sun. simple innit.

It's a defence mechanism that the diddlers have defaulted to due to us being just one division below them and they're getting worried.

He used to be on with some Tvvat called "Fish Pie" where they did "blokey" Boro themed drivel.

One of them has moved up to reporting on Five Live, not sure which one, but he's still sh!t.

I concur with Mr Ripper.

They're looking over their shoulders and thinking hang on, there's probably three teams at least better than us in this division.......... bbolt

I hope the unthinkable happens and they have to come and slum it at the Vic and then BBC Tees can buy their coverage from elsewhere for an inflated price.

Salty I hope you pissed in the corner while you were there.

Funnily enough, some councillors in Middlesbrough are pushing the idea of reforming Cleveland County Council, but with absolute control this time, apparently it makes sense, ...for Middlesbrough .... the late unlamented authority that wasn't exactly Pools friendly, yet bust a gut to get the Riverside open on time and boasted about the fact. ... and that's always been the problem.

I met that Clem once - he's a condescending, clever-dick, one-eyed Boro bore from exactly the same mould as Brownlie and that ex-ref gobshite Winter. They all think they know the lot about footy and just about everything else, but they all forget they are from a cacky town with absolutely nowt going for it apart from a wannabe footy club with delusions of adequacy.
Sunderland and Newcastle are both FAR bigger clubs than Bore-o will ever be.

The trouble is, they believe they are and the local 'meeja' is controlled by the borers Stepford Wives, more so than ever now.

I'd rather remove my gonads with a four inch blunt pen knife than watch the boreo's the sooner we're in the same league as the c u n t s the better... We should've used our opportunity in 1986 to let let them go out of business!

Ah well thats what we get for bieng nice to the smoggie bastads (c) adg..

Did they ever pay up for using the Vic ... I get the impression that playing at our humble ground and allowing us to host such titans of the game was payment enough.
