Just bought myself an ipod touch and am trying to get it to connect to the wireless router in my house but all it keeps saying is incorrect password when I type in the password from underneath the router.

Anyone had a problem like this before and managed to get it sorted out?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My Missus has her iPod touch connected to the wifi in the house and I have my iPhone hooked up.

Not sure if this helps or not but I think what you need is the WEP key number that protects ur wireless network. If you look at the files on your pc or laptop associated with the router/network you should get a long WEP number (unless you created your own password). Plug that in and it should connect.

Having said that, I am far from an IT expert (as those in the IT will know from what I have said so far!) but thats how we got it working.

If that doesn't work switch it on and off.

Correct. The code on the botton of the router could be its mac address or serial number. the password will have been set by yourself once you setup the wireless network.

Go on computer and Internet, in the address bar type 192.168.1.1. It should bring up settings, go to wireless settings and you should see a passcode, that's what you need to enter in the iPod.

If you get asked for a username and password after typing 192.168.1.1 try admin and admin

Exactly the same problem and no not sorted. The last time I tried was about a year ago and after hitting all the dead ends I was told that my Sky wireless router isn't compatible with the IPod Touch so I gave up.

If you're on Sky and get it sorted can you let me know how?

You know when you open Safari - does it not show your homes connection?

Don't think so.
