Discuss - The Deluxe Expanding Roller Sizer

I would be interested to know peoples opinions as to the effectiveness of the utilisation of The Deluxe Expanding Roller Sizer for turnips in the lincolnshire area.

Personally I think the machine is flawed due to inherent inaccuracies and grading sizes not being sufficiently customisable.

I thinks its a bit pointless as I dont like turnip & Im unlikely to go to Lincolnshire

I had a turnip curry the other day off a asian gentleman i was working for it was lush :grin:

.... that's because you've shown a picture of the DF45/7658S Model, which was superseded by the 45c, commonly referred to as the 'turnip terminator' in Lincolnshire turnip grading circles, let's get our facts right.
I'm a regular subscriber to 'Turnip and Swede Illustarted' and I was reading their problem page ... and the trouble they have with 10 cm turnips catching the rotary thruster blade on the second reverse thrust spiral wedge deregulator is just getting ridiulous. It's a known fact in the area that if a bit of bother had been taken to re-align the entrance orifice with the velocity evacuation retard inhibitor, the velocity of the turnip or swede would have not been impeded and caused the recurring problem inherent in the design that has caused so much soul searching in Sibsey, the turnip capital of South East Lincolnshire.
Eric Spunkdust, a master at the art of turnip husbandry has tried to combine the best features of Roy Dong's turnip griddle and flange regulator model of 1928 with state of the art technology to produce a grader of such quality it would render all other turnip graders redundant overnight, but both government and manufacturing industry have failed to grasp the importance of turnip grading in South East Lincs and continue to fail to appreciate the necessity of the country to develop a strong turnip and swede based grading industry to make us world beaters ... in South East Lincs.

Hmm, I thought that till we went camping there in August...... nice skies first thing, very flat, lots of cabbages, turnips, spuds and Dykes (not of the short haired, dungaree wearing, body like a duvet type of dyke, but the full of water dyke) and er ... that's it.Yeah it's boring.
