often wondered now in the days where the bus shelters dont have toilets how you bus drivers manage? incontinence pants, a pop bottle or just hold it in

no we have a system where you get a half hour skive if you need a pee
if you are unable to use a public toilet and as there are so few in the town you radio in and a spare driver comes out and operates your bus while you spend a penny.
if your bus is on its way to manor for example you wait until your bus gets back to the town to be reunited.
and the best is if there is no spare driver you drop your bus out of service and go to our depot have a pee or a poo and drop the bus back into service at the point it would have been if it had run normally.
so next time you are waiting for a bus and it doesnt show spare a thought for the poor driver who was busting.

Here's an idea....

Go for one before you set off, bit 'out of the box' I know, but it just might work!

we sometimes have 4hours 45 minutes driving in one stint now we go to the toilet before starting but that cup of coffee you had before starting work has decided that after 2 hours 37 minutes it wants to come out to play end result see above

in this case i cant answer it was a practice that was there before i started and it would be rude not to join in

I used to like when the number 6 would stop outside the Fish Grill on Oxford Road, the driver would nip in and hop back on the bus with a bag of chips.

The smell was ellish, and by the time you'd got to the ramp you'd be drooling.

MY stepfather was there when the practice was commonplace, but he was that much of a turd, the other drivers didnt quite wave with the full hand, if you get my drift!
