The Old Grey Mare is suggested in my Rough Guide to English Football. However it is the1999-2000 edition. Its on Oldham Road about 5 minutes walk from ground. I will give it a try if supporters bus gets there early enough.

You can get a beer in the ground (well you could last season) and seeing as the M62 will probably be quite busy and you may not get there till late it might be an idea to do that instead of trawling around Oldham to find somewhere.
