I used to be a member of the Belle Vue, and it was great - cheap beer, ellish patter, good snooker tables, stoppy-backs, selection boxes at Christmas etc. I haven't been in for about 6 years though so I can't comment.

One of my most bizzare memories was when we were in the concert room one night for an 18th or something, and one of my mates tapped a quite attractive lass with a short skirt on. He was sitting snogging her with his arm by his side instead of using it to caress her. Another one of my mates decided to start stroking her leg and before you knew it he had his hand in her knickers for a good couple of minutes whilst she carried on snogging, unaware it was a different gadgie doing the handiwork.

This all happened on seats in front of the bar area, so everyone queueing for a drink got a good eyeful and a chuckle. It all stopped though, when the lasses mates came back from the bog, although the groper held his finger out for everyone to sniff.
