Took me nearly six months to get over 2 cracked ribs , ifs that any comfort ..

I doubt they will X-ray your ribs like Mutters, they didn't when I done mine, there is nothing you can do for them apart from going to the doctors to get something stronger than paracetamol. If you have cracked them they will knack on the plane coming home

I hope the general still does x-rays mate

They still do x rays Timmy but they tend not to for ribs as it is a waste of money seeing as they can't really do anything for you regardless of if your ribs are broken, fractured, cracked or just bruised

I wouldnt go to our hospital for a xray the last 2 times i have been i had a broken hand that was massive and had a x ray and was told it wasnt broken and after arguing with the doctor that it was i was told to come back the next morning to the fracture clinic and i would be told the same thing. I went the next day and he took 1 look of my xray and told me to go home and get some stuff he was gonna operate on my hand.

Another time i fell with my arm trapped in a hole in my house wall i heard something snap and went to AE and they wouldnt even xray it! I spent the next 2 years going backwards and forwards to my doctor the hospital and physio in pain with my arm, i had lost the muscle in my shoulder. In the end after years of complaining i was sent to North Tess and within a minute of seeing a surgeon he told me i had ripped the full muscle from chest away from my shoulder and if it was seen within 6 months of doing it i could have had it reattached now i have to live with it

It's interesting to know it's not just me who has been messed aorund on the NHS.

I did my knee in a few years ago. I saw a two doctors and two specialists. I got told a scan might be a good idea, never had one. Got told by a doctor that I may need an operation. Then specialist told me I wouldn't need an operation and to ignore the doctors.

I got discharged with my knee still iffy and without a clue what it was.

It's settled down a bit these but it still flares up a bit every now and then.

I once broke my wrist and it didn't show up on the X-Ray. A few days later I went back, had it X-Rayed and abrakebabra I've a broken wrist.

You'll be fine though Mutley. But it's probably a good idea to have an X-Ray anyway just to see if it's not anything else that's causing the pain.

He will be fine alright ......unless he sneeze's , jolts ,laughs or gets up too quick .

only hope now is you dont get a cold or a cough then
