Alan Ainsley all the more foolish. What a twonker sending in a letter like that after just half a dozen games or so and I doubt that he will have seen all of them anyway to make a full judgement. sctatchinghead :roll:

The Mail reporter reckoned Larkin smacked the outside of the post in extra time.

Suppose its similar to the middle of the cross bar and the fact the ball bounced into the centre of the goalmouth also avaded him.

It must have been the view from the press box because it said the post in the Echo as well, it hit the keepers hand then the underside of the bar near the middle of the goal, maybe the keepers touch deceived them!! Larkin's performance was encouraging really given he could have scored twice now that he looks like the fifth striker, real strength in depth.
