Yes we did, and in most part, yes they were.
It was the performance that impressed, the team performance it was excellent and bodes well for the future.
Very positive stuff, against a 'second string' side

Unless I am missing something?

Second string or not it bodes well for Saturday... Lets hope the lads keep up the high standard.. Norwich won't know what's hit them....

As for Mr Tree... It wouldn't be pools if you didn't have someone moaning about the performance would it...

I'm not moaning about the performance, which was very good. We had chances to kill the game but we didn't. Where was the marking for Fletchers second, we also missed about 3 decent chances in the 2nd half.

I'm happy with the performance but at the end of the day its results what count. We could have been in a 3rd round money spinning tie but we're not. I really don't care how well we play if we win. We should have punished them and we didn't.

We played football at times last night, that was just electrifying. If we can play like that week in week out, which we wont of course, there is no reason why we couldnt get a trip to Wembley in May.

A trip to Wembley in May is a bit optimistic, though one there on March 28th is not out of the question, if we can play like that and get the luck of the draw in the JPT

I dont believe ,even after a performance like we witnessed last night that some people can still post a negative type of message.

Burnley's 2nd string consisted of

Bikey cost £1 Million

Easton cost £350k

Blake who has cost £3:5 million in transfer fees ( played over an hour last night)

Gudjonsson cost £150k

McDonald cost £500k

Fletcher cost £3million played over an hour

Patterson cost £1million played over an hour

Thats almost £10 million pounds of players....................... tell me just what our squad cost to put together, O YES THATS RIGHT IT WAS ABOUT THE SAME AS THAT.......NOT

Even I cant find any negatives about last night.

Regarding your comments about Behan, some bounders near me where calling for him to be subbed from half time till 120minutes.

How unlucky is Behan? He must have struck the goalframe and had more efforts cleared off the line or hit people on way to goal than any other striker in the league!!! And it's only August!!!
