Flinders 7: Little to do but did make a couple of solid saves and was sound throughout
Haslam 7: Austin is going to have to work hard to get a game, he's a very solid right back who knows the position inside out. We have some full backs!!!
Hartley 8: close to my man of the match, delighted he has showed what he can do at the Vic.
Collins 8: Superb, barely put a foot wrong
Liddle 8: The extremely promising player we watched a couple of years ago is still with us! Has found his niche.
McSweney 6: Worked his bollocks off ran all day but little end product, didn't beat his man or get qulaty into the box but couldn't fault his work rate and fitness. I'm sure he'll be a good signing just needs to have a bit more belief in himself.
Sweeney 6: Work rate great, quality lacking a bit seems to have to take four touches to get the ball under. We were far more fluid with two footballers in Jones and Freddy (who is a winger!) in the middle late on.
Jones 8: We are better side with him in it
Monkhoue 9: As well as I've ever seen him play for Pools, had more quality than anyone on the field
Behan 8: Slow start but got better as the game went on, some delightful touches
Boyd 6: Looks at least a yard either slower or just off the pace, haven't decided yet. Scored though!

Subs;
Freddy 7: What a great cameo played with great confidence and linked up the play superbly
Larkin 7: Lively and could have got on the scoresheet twice, should maybe have scored both but an encouraging cameo.

Less than 7 to 8 for anyone is harsh and a joke. You must be on a wind up. Not one player cant be faulted for their performance. To give anyone a 6 you are hard to please.

Agree with Bob. Collins a 10 for me and rest on 9s and 1 or 2 8s.

To give Mcsweeney a 6 is a joke and an insult.

What did Boyd and Sweeney do to warrant more than a 6? If I gave those a 7 or 8 I'd have to give the best players on the night 11's and 12's.

I must be on a wind up?? I thought we played superbly as a team the only one I could have gave a higher mark was McSweeney who's energy was incredible all night I just thought he lacked end product which as a right winger is his job.

It was my honest opinion, I apologise if you think I'm 'on a wind up' or am a 'joke' I'll bare that in mind before trying to post it in future...FFS. We were brilliant I enjoyed the game more than I have one for ages but some players still performed better than others.

I didnt say you were a joke I said your marks were a joke, totally different statements. It was my honest opinion(same as yours) that each player deserved more then 6. Of course some will play better than others but simply because some play better than others doesn't mean those that played less well deserve, what I believed to be low marks.

I get that, but I'd consider a 6 to be quite a good mark certainly someone who has had an above average game. Anything above 6 is someone who has had a very good game in my opinion those three didn't but they all had good to decent games, as I said I haven't enjoyed a game as much as that in a long time and they all played a part.
