That should do him some good. It leaves us short of attacking options like, just ask barnie Pete!

I only said I was intrigued how many games you'd seen him play. I'm guessing the square root of fck all.

Foley is one of the worst forwards I have see play for Pools, his only attribute is speed but he cant run with the ball very well as his close control is shocking. He is too small and lightweight to sum him up he is a good northern league player and thats it, he is living on a wonder goal the likes of which he will never score again.

He's been played on the right wing or left in most of the games he has started. He hasn't been given a run of games in the team as a starter unlike Michael Mackay.... Foley probably hasn't met his potential but similar to istead you have to question whether he has been managed effectively over the years. Why hasn't he been sent out on loan before now - for example...?

i think he would do a job at league two as when we were there he looked pretty sharp when he came on as a sub.

As we know, Mr S, there are those who go to matches, and there are those who see only what they want to see. They then come on here and beat the verbal crap out anyone who dares to say anything, erm, "negative".

But I can't comment, cos I don't go to Pools, and I don't kiss the ass of football chairmen.

Leaving myself wide open to the obvious......

I've said it before but I am convinced that there's a player there. His first touch is as good as anyone at the club and he has shown at other levels that he has an eye for goal. So what's his problem? Confidence? Mistreated? (he's no winger) Too small? He may not make it at Pools but I'm not convinced that he won't make a league player. Like Jonny I would have sent him on loan a lot earlier. Good luck to him at Barrow.

For the lad to develop he needs to be starting games regular in his best posistion which is up front, we have had worse strikers such as Mackay and Liam Henderson starting games but Foley hasn't been given a fair crack in my opinion.
