That is an insult to the people who died. My family had the most wierd case of good luck surrounding Lockerbie. My uncle lives in New York and my grandparnets were going to visit him and were ment to be on that flight. My uncles boss knew his parents were coming over and as it was a quiet month at Belmont race track were my uncle was a jockey gave him an extra month off so my grandparents changed the flight and flew out 3weeks earlier.

It's a big slap in the face to the Americans.

There are major doubts he was even guilty, but I felt he should have rotted in jail ... until the yanks told us to keep him in. Then it became an easy decision to stick two fingers up at them.

Who really believes that this bloke is the culprit? He was a sacrificial lamb for the Americans who needed a scapegoat thus releasing Libya from sanctions. The real guilty party can be seen shaking hands with Gordon Brown.

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, as he is known, is completely innocent of planting the bomb which blew up the Pan-am jumbo. He IS guilty of doing his duty to Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi, as he is known.

I was at Camp Zeist for Al Megrahi's trial. It was so obvious, and the Americans swallowed what they were given.

He's served the equivalent of 2 weeks for every murder he committed. He should have rotted from cancer in the prison cell and every member of the victims familes should have been invited to wank over his corpse (females optional). Fookin disgrace.

I watched a bloke on tv tonight who lost his daughter in the event. Losing a child in something like this and being involved in the legal process throughout would turn you into an expert. We can agree on this point?

I've just seen President Obama's reaction to the news and I have to say, you can tell through the language he used, that although he appeared calm, he looked angry with the Scottish government over this.

Obama hoped that the Libyans wouldn't use Mergrahi's arrival home as an excuse for a celebration, but looking by tthe news, it seems they are having a bit of a party in Tripoli.

The strangest thing was that somebody's flying a huge great SCOTTISH flag at Tripoli airport in front of the plane!

Something tells me though that if this decision was taken by the British goernment and not the devolved Scottish government, I don't think Mergrahi would have been released.
