I hate it when players do this to us. Chris Beech, Graeme Lee spring to mind. I like to think we made him the decent keeper he is now and the least we can do is try to get some money now for us giving him a job for the last 3 years.

Foooking agents, make my blood boil

No, play him and sell him while we can!
And yes of course Jimbo can do a job for us. Remind me where we finished in the only full season he played for us and exactly why that season got off to such a good start.

TIME FOR A REALITY CHECK...if he goes in the summer, it was to be expected, but as for dropping him and bringing in Provett, that would be cutting off our noses to spite our faces. When and if he goes, I'd like to see a new keeper brought in.

I wonder what happened to Demis Roussos. That was the name of our recent trialist wasn't it?

Just got this message from the Mullet

trying to register on the bunker but it wont let me for some reason, wanted to post on that dimi thread, he's just text me there, the guy isn't even his agent, he used to be, but isn't anymore, the article is being retracted, he has no intention of leaving... at the moment!

New story on Sky Sports website

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=440500&CPID=12&clid=89&lid=6&title=Greek+happy+at+Pools

Hartlepool United goalkeeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos has played down suggestions that he is desiring a move away in the summer.

The Greek custodian was thought to be considering his options for the future, with the 28-year-old's contract set to expire at the season's end.

However, the former Greece Under 21 international has told skysports.com that he has yet to make a decision on his future.

"It is true that my contract ends in the summer, but I have not made a decision on my future," Konstantopoulos told skysports.com.

"I am happy at Hartlepool and I am concentrating on my football.

"I want to do my best for Hartlepool."

Konstantopoulos has been in fine form with Danny Wilson's side this season, having received the League Two Player of the Month award for December after helping his side go the whole of last month without conceding a goal.

I don't have any problem with a player who sees out his contract in a proffessional manner like what Dimi says he intends to do leaving if they get a better offer elsewhere. It is annoying but will always happen.

Chris Beech/Jack Ross were different because they signed contracts and refused to see things through. The Bosman ruling does mean that we will occasionally lose players for no transfer fee however we already have at times and will continue to benefit from this rule in future with players that we sign......

A very revealing bit in the original article for me was the name of the agent.

If the name Clive Hart sounds familiar, it should. He was (and may still be for all I know) the agent of a certain M. Nelson when he handed in a transfer request with Hart claiming Pools had reneged on a verbal promise to give him a new deal after 12 months, and then Hull (manager - Peter Taylor, whose agent was... Clive Hart) put a bid in that Pools turned down.

To say Hart has previous would be an understatement - he also has ongoing. A quick bit of Googling reveals....

http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/sport.cfm?id=1823382006 Michael Stewart, Hibs player who reportedly has Sun'lun interested.

It's a good job it's been a mild winter so far - means there's plenty of salt for us all to take with this particular rumour.....
