How absurd does this sound?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/oxfordshire/8205130.stm

I remember driving past the airport with my uncle in Oxford whilst visiting family in Begbroke.

The signs then called it Oxford Airport or Kidligton Airport, locally.

But this new name is terrible.

The nearest main road to the airport seems to be, according to the map and from memories of driving past it, the A4260 (Banbury Road) out of Kidlington.

One of my uncles who was born in Hartlepool and brought up in Headington now lives at Kidlington and I have had to get the bus from Oxford City to Kidlington which drives straight along the A4165 (Oxford Road) into Kidlington.

When I went to see family in Begbroke, my uncle in Headington probably took me along the A420 out of Headington, left onto the A40 (Northern Bypass Road) and then along the A34/A44 (Woodstock Road) through Yarnton to Begnroke, where some of my family live.

If you continue along the A44 it takes you right past the gates of Blenheim Palace and into Woodstock. I remember spending a whole day once as a lad in Woodstock - it's a pleasant village actually.
