Bollocks. Empire and Return of the King. Easy.

For me...

The Warriors
Battle Royale
V For Vendetta
Snatch
Shaun of the Dead
American Beauty
Being John Malkovich
Kill Bill
Oldboy
Goodbye Lenin!
Leon
Clerks

...as a rough top twelve. A few that narrowly missed the cut were Pulp Fiction, American History X, Dodgeball, Deer Hunter, The Virgin Suicides and everything else by Kevin Smith.

Naw the bit where Rarfy's chucked the prozzy out the window and Yoassarian is walking along the street and all that stuff is going on behind him, like the bloke flogging the dead horse is fantastic.

We got our roadie to sit nude up a tree on the strength of that film and got him on film as well.

I don't really like Hollywood stuff, I prefer unpredictable eccentric films. Thinking about it most of these are fodgie with subtitles:

1 Riff Raff
2 Rita Sue and Bob Too
3 My Life as a Dog
4 Star Wars (any or all six of them)
5 Jamon Jamon
6 Abel
7 Scum
8 Blind Shaft
9 Homework
10 Room for Romeo Brass

Plus there are a few that would make it into the top ten but I don't remember the title of them.

It must be a generational thing. Most people I know of my age think it's superb, but I guess it is a bit tame now, with all this cybernetsex business.

It is a perfect 80's film.

Bah! You can't deny the dialogue is brilliant:

'When we have sex, it feels like shagging a bag of spuds. You just lay there like a bit of wet rag.'

And the bit where Bob has a great big triumphant slash after he's just portioned both lasses is inspired.

Haha... I remember the line "It looks like a frozen sausage!" and cracking up when I watched it.

And Cowboy, is your name from the beauty that is The Warriors? That film has probably the best opening theme ever, and the gangs strutting around in the intermission music (like Nowhere To Run) is, well, an amazing watch.

And you know what? I own a Baseball Furies shirt, and went to a fancy dress party dressed as the leader

I'm keeping my mouth quiet. The last time I went to the pictures was to see the Full Monty. I havent even turned the telly on for six weeks, except to watch Balamory on DVD. I did used to love Midnight Cowboy though!

He's been in all kinds, perhaps most famously in the Hamlet adverts where he played the neighbour of Russ Abbott. Crap things always happened to him, whilst cos Russ was smoking Hamlet everything was dandy in his world.
