Just thought Coventry might field a weakened side as a lot of teams do in this competition. Granted most of them who do that are in the Premier League.

Looks like we'll be facing a depleted squad with four away on international duty and a few injuries. Morrison might only be on the bench. Chance for another scalp if we put out a strong team.

I've just spoken to the Coventry ticket Office and they reckon Pools have sold 92 tickets
and will be returning the rest tomorrow.
So unless there are lots coming to buy at the gate or there's a sudden surge, looks like
we are going to be lonely

Pools never sell many tickets in advance when people know they can just pay on the gate so I wouldn't worry!

I'll have to take my ID with me tomorrow just in case the City staff ask any questions.

I thought they would of been happy for the business to sell some tickets instead of refusing to sell them

Well you are obviously going to have to prove you're a student to get a student ticket or everybody would say it wouldn't they?

"Honest me and my four mates who aren't even here are all students" isn't really going to cut it is it? I mean you'd be pushing it trying to get one without ID, I went to get a ticket for the West Ham game last year and they wanted an Iris Scan, my birth certificate, and the name of my Nana's cat and I'm a season ticket holder*

*It turns out I didn't have voucher G or a stub from when we played Barnet at home in 1994 so I couldn't get one anyway.

Maybe so, but what would stop anybody who knows a student then just sending the scrounger down to buy all the tickets for people who don't qualify for the concession prices?

dimi in goal

17 yr old at right back
reserve team left back as Chelsea won't let them play their first choice
3 outfield players on international duty
morrison sitting on bench as he took a knock against ipswich.

danger will be the winger they recently signed.
bring it on

Tickets £12 at the gate for away folk, just popped into their ticket office (wearing the centenary Pool shirt). The ground is half football stadium and half casino !!!

I was always unsure why relegated coventry built a new stadium, highfield road wasn't bad...

A guess the half casino bit explains it.

They hosted three Take That concerts there a few weeks ago and filled the place all three occasions, Chris Coleman could only sigh with dismay !

they do not own it they pay for the privilege of using it.
highfield roxd is now a new housing estate.

Ricoh money goes to a consortia and any money from match day sales of food etc go to a franchise.

It boasts a large badge on the side with a parrot on it, which when looked upon from a distance and coupled with the Coventry badge (an elephant) makes one think of a zoo !
