Seems a bit off the mark to me but have just had text saying we have "allegedly" made inquiries about Bristol City's Lee Trundle. Last I heard he was supposedly on his way back to Swansea.

Anyone else heard anything.

As i say it's a rumour, I have asked about, waiting on replies.

Trundle is the same type of player as Adam Boyd, arguably slightly better but definitely similar in style.

Do we need Lee Trundle?

 would be awesome if true, but i think we can place this rumour on the same pile as the Ameobi rumour...

Boyd, Brown and Trundle are all similar kinds of players but Brown has more speed and less strength than those two.

well if your assuming that i rate him as good as Ameobi then you're wrong. I'm just trying to point out thats its one of the more unlikely rumours of the summer.

Not really, I'd imagine he'll end up somewhere in League One as that's his level.

but he would be one of the top 5 strikers in our league if he were to join, in my opinion of course.

Well the rumour is out in the open, so even if true, another club will now move in and sign him up. rage

Transfer Centre Clockwatch on Sky Sports says this:-

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has told Lee Trundle he can look for a new club

of course its nothing to do with the fact that he can turn an entire match with a bit of brilliance. He is an extremely gifted footballer, however, his attitude is questionable.

Adam Boyd anyone?.........

NO IT WOULDN'T IT WOULD BE A RIDICULOUS SIGNING

1) He is over rated
2) He is 32
3) He has scored 8 goals in 2 seasons
4) He played in league one last season and was shite
5) He had only ever done well at one club
6) We have Adam Boyd
7) We have James Brown
8) We need a left back
9) We need a commanding central midfield player
10) We need a centre back
11) We don't need Lee Bastad Trundle
12) Who came down in the night and hypnotised people into thinking Trundle is the second coming of Pele?

Surely their is no truth in this rumour, if it is true, I ask Why?

Why?

because it would, to an extent, be a 'cartwheel' signing, Turner likes one or two of them to get the fans excited.

We have more pressing issues, like left back though so i would be surprised if this rumour was true

I haven't forgotten about the problems at left-back.

All I'm saying if we were to sign a bloke with the stature that he has, especially seeing how unlikely that signing looks at a first glance, then I think it would be amazing.

He'd have to make sure he could prove he's still capable of scoring goals - just imagine what could happen if that were the case...

Good post. Cant disagree with that.

I would sooner see us get a central midfielder.

Oohh yes, and we can all wet our knickers when we see him in the blue and white. And then we'll queue up to shake his manly hand, and talk about how great he is while drinking piss poor beer in the Corner Flag and giving ourselves a jolly good backslap for having the foresight to think "wouldn't it be amazing if Lee Trundle came to 'Pools."

Fukc me.
