having not seen any of the pre-season matches due to being down here, I was wondering out of all of the players on trial which ones would you give a contract to and why?

From the match at Garforth only, I agree with FB. Bossekota looks well worth another look. I'm not convinced by the rest as yet. The bloke in the Mail rated the centre half Ross Harvey, but I was not impressed by how many chances the mighty Garforth managed by hoofs up the middle, though admittedly a significant number were down to Power fiddling around and trying to be too clever. As for the Yank goalie, his blog is more impressive than his performance. His latest message says 'After the game I briefly met with the manager, the assistant, and the goalie coach. They were pleased with my play. Mostly with my hands, my distribution, my presence, and explosiveness off my line. They liked that they could hear me on the far bench communicating throughout the whole second half. The manager said we would talk more this upcoming week about my future at the club.' Don't call us, we'll call you? How would we get a work permit for a college player? I hope he has a great career, but he needs to go further in the US first to prove himself.

If word had got out about the number of triallists Pools were preparing to field I would imagine the ground would have been bristling with scouts. Bossekota's performance will have been noted. I hope we don't dally around and lose him.
