Easy win. 0-3 at half time. 0-4 at end. Adam Boyd played until about 60 mins and had some great touches and scored one. No sign of James Brown. MOM was David Foley for effort - murdered them for speed up to the penalty box but then ran out of ideas more often than not. Powell twiddled around with the ball far too much and kept losing out - no progress there. Rowell was impressive for skill but needs to get his head up to see what he is going to do with the final ball. The only triallist who really caught the eye was the right back, Bossekota. Solid and quick, but he came off with a foot injury. Billy Greulich and Joe Lamlough (who scored a good goal) also looked promising. Cook should have been sent off in the first half for sticking his head into their no.10. The American lad looked better.

Good game and they even printed a special programme. Chip butties £1. They know how to live life to the full in Yorkshire.

oops - Powell = Power. The American keeper looked a bit shaky at times but made some good stops too.

Agree with most of that though thought Rowell was a bit quiet, and from what I've seen of him in forst team games last season expected more from him, considering the opposition( no disrespect intended to Garforth)

Foley, you got spot on.

And for me Bossekoto looked well wroth taking on, looked young, but definetely appeared too know what he was doing, made 3or 4 good headers early on and just leaned into the back of their forwards a couple times, just enough to put them off. On that performance only 4 things to say. GET HIM SIGNED TURNER.

Mitrovick (gk) did all that could be asked of him as well, only question there is do we need three keepers ?? My answer would be yes, just in case. But on half a game not easy to give real opinion. Having said that he looked an improvement on the last 2.

Yes, Socrates. They also had Lee Sharpe for a while, and there were rumours Cafu had agreed to play for them too!!!!

Would agree with you on Bossekota, won everything in the air that came his way and looked comfortable on the ball. He was however wearing orange boots, as does Mackay and as was Foley tonight. . . . . . . hmmmmmm
Thought Boyd played well within himself, either that or he wasn't up for it. Was probably looking after himself with the season proper just days away. Wasn't too impressed with Cook, no need for him to go chasing after their no.10 who went down like he'd been shot after their head to head. Could easily have been shown a straight red. The American guy had a couple of fumbles but rescued the situation, and he wasn't afraid to make himself heard or come off his line.

They have a link to the Brazilian football Schools through their manager and owner, Simon Clifford. It's all in the programme. The Hartlepool Branch of kids gave a display at half time. The lad in the red boots (about 10 year old) was very impressive. Alas, their own team showed little evdience of the beautiful game during the 90 minutes.
