Normally would have been on the club website by now, or at least info about injury doubts etc for match, but nothing as yet.
Anyone heard anything about who might be in / out.
I'm going down to Garforth for it and am hoping for a decent side, though with the Season kicking off on Saturday I'm suspecting it might be almost a reserve team outing.

We also have eleven out playing at west allotment so they may well be youth and ressies

plenty of trialists. Boskoetta is a belgian who was signed by Derby when they got to the Prem a couple of years ago.

Let's hope he's a great stopper who is great at keeping the offensive at bay.

Never mind - you can be our roving reporter and give us a low-down on these trialists...

Good find John and its a great read too. Sounds a decent guy, Americans are usually by record pretty good goalkeepers too.

What a fantastic link! He seems like a nice lad. It would be great if he got a contract and Im sure he would be a fans favourite.

"Then I went exploring to the City Centre, which is what they call their downtown" :laugh:

He is learning the lingo too ..."It was a lot of good drills, but they were hard and tested your ability to concentrate as you get nackard"

of course that is coming from people who watch the premier league regularly, most of our players would be shite to them.

So let me get this correct;

You don't think Haslam and Larkin would be good signings because they were released by clubs below us in the football pyramid, and that is worrying even though you don't know the circumstances surrounding their releases.

But;

This lad would be a good singing as he writes a nice blog.

these are the same Irish Make Thems fans who said Colin Healy and Denis Behan weren't league one standard and were surprised when Pools were after them. Then Healy signed for Ipswich, managed by their ex-manager. Big load of rarfs by the looks of it.

Im presuming this lad from America is a youngster and can be coached. the others we have been giving trials to have often been players who are older and have failed at clubs lower down the league ladder. My post merely said that he seems a nice lad and it would be a great story if he got a deal. ps, haslam and larkin may be good signings, i could not say otherwise as I have not seen them play.

it's a bit surreal too see a player talk so excitedly about coming to pools and england on trial, it's like all there hopes and dreams are aimed at playing in england.

Was good to read about how turner picked him up and let him stay at his house, very nice way of making him feel welcome.

Obviously i haven't seen him play, but it would, like grave said, make a nice story if we signed this guy, and he came good.

Good little blog from the guy.

We've got to sign this keeper as Waldorf & Statler are fawning over him.

Like when you throw a dog a ball to keep it occupied when they start calling Turner a ''lovely lovely person'' after a couple of defeats or calling our latest signing shite after seeing him for 10 minutes we can just put a link on to his blog or youtube video to calm them down.

So me saying i like his celebration and that he sounds like a nice bloke means im "fawning" over him???

Nothing like trying to stir more trouble.

We also came across this true loony that was walking around trying to pick fights with every guy by saying are you looking at my girl. He said it to Denis, and Denis is by no means small. As soon as he realized how small he was and heard Denis' Irish accent he tried to make friends by saying he loves the Irish. This situation became funny when about twenty minutes later we saw him running away from two policemen. Let's just say it didn't end up good for that hooligan

You really don't have a sense of humour do you, you can't if you thought my tone was serious in that post.

Taking the piss is not 'stirring trouble' it's trying to add a bit of humour.

Ok so maybe I took it in wrong context but whats the difference between you keeping bringing up comments like "Turner is a 'lovely lovely person'" and "players are shite" from ages ago and me bringing up about Jones' potential since he was from Man U? Serious question.

I think should stop reading to much into things that are light hearted and stop being so precious. You would agree that generally your glass is half empty (it has actually smashed on the bar floor)? I'm just taking the mick out of that, I have friends who I go to the match with who are similar I don't think they are bad people or anything it's only a game.

The guy is a legend. reading his blog is like proper roy of the rovers stuff and it would have made a great fly on the wall documentary. He is almost worth signing up for his enthusiasm alone.

get him signed CT, he cant be worse than the hologram.

clappp

We need a third 'keeper, the lad clearly wants to play, if he's good enough get him signed CT.

What I like about him is his confidence and belief in his own ability. He showed awareness when describing that one on one and has amazing enthusiasm. The lad deserves a chance, I hope CT can see his way clear to maybe offer him one. I recognise that I can't assess his ability having never seen him play BUT he wants to play, even desperate to play and do well. His attitude comes across as spot on and that impresses me, always has done. If he has got ability to go with his other attributes then we might just have a winner.

I very much enjoyed his blog. Its nice to read an enthusiastic account of things along with a quirky appreciation of blighty. Somehow I can't see us signing him as I don't think we'd get a work permit easily - unless of course he's got a British granny.
