Best - beating Stoke/Monkhouse scoring first at bellend road (fiver on at 14/1)
Worst - Leeds late winner in the league cup game

OK but it was horrifying to watch for the second season running the strong centre back/ goalkeeping combination that has been the heart of our improvement as a club again resemble Billy Smart's Circus.

How do you think you'll do this season? Hopes, final position?
So difficult to tell - a very large turnover of players. It it difficult to think that the replacements at centre back and striker will improve on the departures but other additions seem positive. I'd take 19th now if offered.

What's your squad like, new signings, etc?
When we lost James Brown last year the only exciting players who could do something a bit different in terms of skill or pace (Porter and Robson) have now both left. If Brown is fit and if Boyd is interested we'll be fine. If Brown is injured and Boyd is on the sauce then we're screwed.

Which player would you happily get rid of?
The manager got rid of him over the summer.

Which youngster will make the biggest impression in your team this season?
Hopefully Matty Tymon will 'train on'. This has to be the year he breaks through or he won't.

What's your manager like and will he still be there at the end of the season?
Competent and unspectacular. He is however honest and he does speak to the fans and that will stand him in good stead.

Are you happy with your Chairman/Backroom staff?
Not just happy, delighted. Pools haven't balanced the books in ten years. We have a massive imbalance between money through the gate and players wages - and IOR just keep footing the bill. They are the difference between us and being Barnet or Halifax Town. Many fans with short memories like a moan but anyone over thirty (in both age and IQ) knows that IOR are the best thing that has happened to the club in the last 20 years.

Which team do you want to beat the most and why?

There are no words for how much I despise Leeds United. Much bigger clubs than them have come down to league one - in some cases REAL european champions - and showed some sense of humility and acceptance. But not Leeds. Before they arrived in League One I had no feelings whatsoever about Leeds and their fans but to know them is to hate them.
A horrible club run by horrible people for the entertainment of horrible, low-life violent people.

Why is it so amusing Woody ?
The majority of people in the lower leagues had no real opinion one way or the other about Leeds.Now that we have seen the violent disgusting creature that is the Leeds united supporter they are hated all through league one.
At least the rest of the clubs can honestly say that their mindless thugs are in the tiny minority.

But it is the case thats its the minority at Leeds. We take a lot more than any other club in this league to games home or away, so its always going to be a case of more idiots amongst the normal fans.
On the other hand Millwalls support is mainly made up of "violent disgusting creatures" who are equal if not worse than Leeds hooligan wise, yet nobody has them top of the list of who they would love to beat

they are no different to any other of these former top flight clubs who have more "fans" than traditional lower league clubs - all the people on that thread ARE wan-kers. It's just that they are in denial of the fact.

I didnt come out of our ground last season to find Clarence road lined with Millwall fans hurling abuse at us after we played them.I did after we played Leeds.
You dont take a lot more than other clubs to away games at Hartlepool,you take enough to fill our away end & the behaviour of Leeds fans these last 2 seasons has been violent and abusive.I wont say that it is the majority that behave this way but it is certainly not a TINY minority

Leeds would easily bring 3000 fans to our place if allowed. Imagine the riots

I don't know, how many other teams did actually sell out your away stand last season? plus the numbers in the home stands you unfortunatly got to see. I was in your home end, but acted in a proper and correct mannor :)
Were Leeds fans bad on the boxing day game, I don't recall it. Was the last away game this year, not that its an excuse and yea I can understand It's not really good walking out of your own stadium to be met by numbers of away fans having a go at ya, so suppose I can see why many would enjoy to get one over Leeds.
Honestly though the fans arn't always bad, you have just been a little unlucky with us.
