Concurring.

Supergrass are one of those bands that I should have liked a lot more than I did. Just realising it now, as I am currently listening to their back catalogue.

Is a back catalogue like a load of old albums or CD's?

I'm there. All three days. Might take my Rhino hat so if you see a dude in a rhino hat, that'll be me. It's quite distinctive. It has a horn on it!

I thought you-all were seriously good yesterday, Salty, it sounded brilliant...very together, and as charismatic, as ever. :coool: Great to see you again.

I liked Martin Hughes, too, on the Acoustic stage....what did you think?
Didn't see anyone in a rhino hat, though. Jish must have got held up!

Concur with the above. Thought Idiot Savant were very good, didn't see anyone in a rhino hat.

It got a bit tasty down the front during Supergrass, there was more than a spot of Uber-violence going on.....lost a front tooth! So if anyone found one, can I have it back?

That sounds a bit painful, Mr Y. I wanted to stay on until the evening but my lift had to leave earlier. Was a bit put out at the time, but at least I still have a full set of teeth!

Should really have really added the following information to my previous post-tooth was false, came out after over vigourous headbanging, lost amongst a sea of stamping feet... :uhoh:

I forgot to take it :uhoh: I was there though. Going today too!

Can I just mention how beautiful is Kathryn Williams voice? Delightful!

There were a few rarfs there last night. Lost count of the number of times I saw people getting frogmarched out. I also saw a fight. One lad onto 3. No need at all!

I loved Kathryn Williams too, it was surreal watching her between the pandemonium of The Futureheads and Supergrass but like Jish says her voice was stunning.

Watched the Futureheads who were great then back home to the studio to watch the Steady Boys who were equally as good. Went to watch The Roundels this afty, they were decent as well though not many in attendance.

Hartlepool could learn from the Riverside Festival, its a great weekend and hopefully Dockfest will improve over the next few years to something similar.

I heard a rumour Mr Tree that the budget for this years Dockfest was only 10k compared to a much larger budget for The Riverside.

However, as next year is the Tall Ships and Dockfest was pretty successful, next years budget is alledgedly much bigger. A lot bigger.
Remains to be seen if this is true.

Edit: Obviously The Riverside has a much bigger budget as Mr Salty won't get out of bed for less than 10k!

Errrm, tooth was false.....came out after overly enthusiastic middle aged man style "headbanging", was lost in sea of feet....smashed to smithereens. On the plus side I found a pound coin whilst attempting rescue. Rock AND roll!

There was tons of fighting round me like. I was just an amused spectator though (story of my life).

hope you enjoyed your Pimms and your prawn sandwiches.

 Had a chuckle at that! It was a trolley, but the bloke who brought it with him is fond of taking all sorts of stuff to festivals. I'll suggest the lawnmower next time!
