between Magners and Bulmers. I think they basically taste the same and both are a lot better than strongbow etc. However they are not a patch on Henry Westons vintage cider.

Just wondering if anyone can tell the difference between the two, the smoking must have distroyed my taste buds.

If you want good cider get Green Goblin, I have a permanent stock of it in the fridge, it's absolutely lush.

Beats the hell out of all of those that you've mentioned.

FACT!

Modern cider = vicar's piss.
Wychood = taste

Have to say wychwood new beers and guest ales are going down the pan, the old ones were brilliant but was having a chat to the bloke in the pub i mentioned and he said he is stopping them all apart from golaith / bewyched / hobgoblin / wychcraft as a big brewery taken over wychwood cant remember which think he mentioned marstons. I have to say though bewyched is well nice so is fiddlers elbow.

Sorry to contradict you but they are actually exactly the same apart from their packaging! some marketing requirement means they market it under 2 names.

the best cider I have had was in a funny pub in Tawnton Somerset, went there with a mate from uni, they would only let you have three pints of the stuff (was all cloudy etc) I wondered why and after my third stood up and then realised I was a bit merry so sat down again and left the drinking for about two hours

Tesco and Morrisons sell it. Scruffy Asda doesn't.

If you want any from Hartlepool Tesco you'd better get there before me, I often clear the shelf.

We dont have asda down here unfortunatly and I think I would have to get up early to beat you to the Hartlepool Tesco with a 7hour round trip. Oh how much is it?

Dont suppose by any chance the pub was the Double Locks was it? Next to a canal - duh - and a bit of a walk. Had exactly the same experience many years ago.

they had to change the 'recipe' ever so slightly so they didn't infringe copyright or some such bollocks, Bulmers still tastes better though

Wychwood beers are great, the likes of Circlemaster, Fiddlers Elbow, Wychcraft and Hobgoblin are all superb beers. Netto used to sell Circlemaster and Fiddlers Elbow for around £1.10 per bottle, i used to buy it by the box, I don't know if they still sell it though
