What bothers me

is that we have played 2 Dutch sides who play a different style of football (they pass and score goals!!!!), play a championship side and get beat(but they are a division better than us!!!!), we play a Blue Square or some thing none league side and lose (only a friendly). Not impressed. Maybe i am not that optimistic, but we still haven't got a back 4 who will stop goals. I believe you do not lose games with a decent back 4 then you win them with good forwards. CT get it sorted, August is one hell of a month for us, if we don't pick up some points in August then I think we might be on the slippery slope. I hope i am totally wrong but CT get that defence sorted and build from there, its not rocket science.

I would have assumed the club tried very hard to sign them. It could also be the case that they were not impressed by our club and jumped at the chance of going elsewhere. Having a manager with CT's track record cant be much of an attraction to someone who wants to play a high level.

oh my god there are some serious bounders on this board. Rose only wanted to leave in the 1st place because of Gannon, once Gannon left he didn't want to move as he was settled.

And Healy would have signed if it werent for a much bigger club playing in a higher division coming along.

Agreed but from what CT has said there have been a fair number of players pull out of deals at a late stage, this cant always be down to money as the players must have had some concerns about coming here.

Well if they fall through at a late stage it is often during the negotiations between the player and the buying club.
