Good choice Mr Dibbs, that is indeed an excellent album, definately one of my favourites of last year. No doubt Salty will come on and call them cack diddly cack cack though.

Razorlight is also a good album, I got that from the Mrs for my birthday in November

Santa was very good to our house and brought us some music to listen to.

I cant remember the album titles, but we have been listening to the following:

The Frattelis
Blink 182
Fall Out Boy
The Automatic
Blink 182 again
Razorlight
Feeder

All very very good.

But I am really impressed with the Frattelis Album. It is without doubt the best album I have heard for a couple of years.

Ok.

Right that is all.

Well put them in the right Thread!!!!

I've got the The Frattelis and Razorlight albums from that list. I like them both especailly The Frattelis but I can see why people don't like them as there rythum changes can give you headaches.

Another album that gave me headache was Damien Dempsey's Negative Vibes (realsed a few years ago), it was very strong and pulled no punches.

If anyone wants to hear the song that The Fratellis nicked for their "Chelsea Dagger" thing, it's called "Dancing With The Rebels" by The Original Mirrors from 1979.

It's a direct rip-off, and they should be sued.

Did they have any hit singles Mr G, I have looked for that song on Limewire but to no avail, but I have had a look in my British hit singles book and they don't seem to appear in it confised

They had Ian Brodie (future Lightning Seeds) in the band!

brilliant pic takes me back to my youth
but when was it taken
as i remember them as a four piece band
George& John Hart , John Rogan Roly Thompson
that must have been after 63 as John Rogan ran away to play base for Adam Faith's band
i often bump trollies in Asda on Saturday morning with John and he told me
they are still recording their own stuff and giging around

that looks as if it is out side the Catcote?

John was my guitar teacher for a bit as it happens, i'm mates with his lads and was in a band with them for a while.

it was indeed outside the catcote and is apparently from '63. Found the pic on this site which might be of interest if you haven't seen it already.... might bring back a few memories http://www.stanlaundon.com/nostalgia.html

Hardly a recommendation of quality.

Now I know none of the albums I mentioned are in the class of the Clash and the Ramones, but Hey Ho, nothing is. :sweet: :sweet: :sweet:

The Smiths are class. Morrissey is one of Britians most cultured icons :!: :!: :!:

I thought that was the Zombies for a minute - there's a good band. Dont know the mob above though.
As for The Smiths - you cant get better than Queen is Dead and Meat is Murder.

Is the Councillor Rogan, who has recently been in trouble for allegedly beating his wife, any relation? The reason I ask is I noticed he was the same age as me, and I seem to remember a Rogan at Baltic Street Juniors, who fell off the Headland Railway Station roof and breaking his legs!!
