He did that weeks ago, but him & his alter ego do a lovely web page or some shite like that, so it's all OK

To bring out a new kit in january is the stupidest piece of marketing ever.

Yeah lets bring out a new kit when everyone is broke and during the worst financial month of the year.

A toy company, a band or even another football club wouldnt do that!

This club is ran by idiots, morons or midgits or summit.

Because they would have sold more if they acted sooner. ie when it was summer and peopel going away etc plus birthdays.

Do people just have birthdays when it isn't the football season like rolfl Do people only go on holiday in two week window that we have missed rolfl This is a non argument looking to pick fault where their isn't one. It's coming out two weeks before the start of the season, if you want one you'll get one whether it was two weeks ago or now.

This from the man who brands people 'not nice people' if they wear the new strip too early

Just a guess but there will be more birthdays from June onwards than August onwards.

Just a hunch.

sorry but why is it so hard for you to see that they should have got their act together sooner, people (and i am not one of them) like to wear their shirts on holiday and and birthdays that have been since the end of the season a shirt would have been a good present. No people dont just have birthdays in the closed season but why cant you see that this is lost money to the club.

Also ask yourself this question why do all the "bigger" clubs bring their shirts out early

Its just simple sales knowledge the longer you have something on sale the more you will sell.

I'm sure it was in the paper the other day that Chelsea were launching their new strip.

Obviously they are stupid too.

And how about the teams who haven't got theirs out yet?

Or all the years when you couldn't get a new Pools shirt til well after the season started. Then you had something to actually moan about.

It's gonna be available before the start of the season, weeks before in fact.

Moan, moan, moan, moan, moan.

Doils.

If I was in charge of the date when the shirts are released I'd have definitely made it at the start of the summer, not 2 weeks before the start of the season. Would those who agree with the clubs decision have brought it out at the same time if they were in charge?

Because shirt sales are a multi million pound industry for them all over the world.

How many will we sell irregardless of when they come out, 800-1000 at a guess? You can't really compare us to a 'big club' when it comes to shirt sales.

There is absolutley no benefit of bringing out the shirt now as oppose to the start of summer.

FACT!

fook your right, I propose we launch a new new strip on the 1st of September, then I think we should follow that up with another new strip on 1st December, just in time for the Christmas rush. Lets fleece the bastards.

I'd of had it all sorted last season, the bloody kits are already designed all we gotta do is add our colours too it.

Wear it on the last day of the season, then bring it out June/early July time.

I think PJ is just being cross akward here cos i don't know anyone in there right mind who doesn't think this is late for bringing it out.

I am sorry but thats not what i ment, the decision on the strip probably happened close to or before the season ended, get it out as soon as possible. You dont earn money of things not on the selves.

If they are going to bring out a 3rd strip (which i dont agree with) then it should be put on sale before christmas, anyone with a bit of sales knowledge knows that, if pools dont they are idiots.

Say they brought them out a month ago for example when the season ticket deadline was, what reaction would that bring on here?

If I was going to do it at any time it would be right at the back of the previous season even maybe play the last home game in it but in our case we only had the white strip for one season so people would have went mad if they didn't even get a full season out it. If you have a kit for two seasons then fair enough but I suspect they can't win either way.

I don't think it's late for bringing a strip out.

Who sets a the date for bringing a strip out like? It's for the 2009-2010 season isn't it?

I guarantee if it had been released on the final day of the season some fooker would have been on here complaining that the people out of work with one leg and seven children just can't afford to purchase four season tickets and seven new strips all at the same time, think about it Pools!

There would be no problem. You dont HAVE to buy it when it comes out, it will be on sale for a while.

Shit sorry I forget they will sell out of all popular sizes after a day but will have 5000 small and XXXL left so maybe your right PJ.

Moaning about the fact that the strip is being brought out BEFORE the start of the season?

You thick set of chavs would moan if you were getting a blow job off Miss World.

I would let the people who organise pools sales / tickets schedule a piss up in a brewery. They have about as much sales/ marketing sence as frank spencer

If I was going to do it at any time it would be right at the back of the previous season even maybe play the last home game in it but in our case we only had the white strip for one season so people would have went mad if they didn't even get a full season out it. If you have a kit for two seasons then fair enough but I suspect they can't win either way.

They would have got people 1. buying season tickets and 2. buying shirts at the same time.

People are lazy, pools is out the way, people would have bought them both together.

Are they loaded as well like?

No they wouldn't, not the majority.

So you admit some WOULD have bought them. Think that is the whole point being made.

I would have bought 2 when I went for my season ticket but I wont be buying one now as i try to keep visits to the club shop down to as few as possible.

So you're saying that you won't get one now?

But you would've if they'd been out a month ago?

You're either brain dead or just being contrary for the sake of it.

My money is on the latter but I'm not 100% convinced.

Well of course some would have bought them earlier.

Will anyone not buy one who would have normally because they are coming out 'only' two weeks before the start of the season? Tree you are excelling yourself in talking total bollocks.

Id have bought one if avilable while I was at club shop yeah, just like in Asda il buy a pack of mints as i wait at checkout.

Will I travel to buy one especially? No. Especially not to listen to people being rude and moaning they havent had a break.

It was my birthday 3 days ago so that was the last chance id have got one.

The misses always says "you want the Pools top for your birthday/xmas?" As I guess happens in a lot of households especially mothers etc.

If you really wanted one you'd just buy yourself one without having to get it as a present.

Birthdays? Christmas? Blah blah blah.

How chavtastic.

the point is its no big deal and people are acting like IOR have just arse raped them or something (yes, ridiculous exaggeration was intended).

People are simply looking for ways to moan about the club. Its in their genes to find faults for they are pricks, pure and simple.

Well said.

They deserve arse raping.

Except Tree.

Cos he'd enjoy it.

Just because people want to criticise aspects of the club this doesn't make them pricks. If anything it makes you a prick for not listening to their point and just labelling them a prick. No-one is making a big deal about it, it's just one thread. There's only one person here trying to turn it into a big deal.
