Been talking to Ashley, who is the drummer in The Frank & Walters who are from Cork and a big Cork City fan. He said the following (the first bit is about Behan btw) ...

it was tough for him playing up front by himself I guess, on the plus side he has a great shot and does get stuck in, a few seasons back he was used as an impact player for the last twenty minutes of games and he did quite well.....will be gutted if Healy goes, he is total class, could easily play at a higher level, word is that he's settled in Cork so may not want to leave, time will tell.......ash

Also if you are Cork fan, what difference does it make that he's talking to another club? You are still going to lose him either way. I was under the impression that Cork was quite a nice place to visit, seemingly there's fook all to do judging by the way they've invaded this place.

If Turner has the budget to bring in someone like Healey then i'm sure he'll have someone else lined up should the healey deal fail.
Now do a one paddy

Well at least all the rubbish opinions about Behan will ensure we dont expect too much of the lad! This could actually be a good thing ultimately.

Yeah I can imagine it's easy for you to get that impression considering the only time you get to go abroad is to fight each other in Marbella.

I remember meeting a few lasses from Cork in Prague a few years ago, if they are still about they'd be worth the trip alone

I wouldn't risk it. Some officials allow you through with a driving licence but most ask for passports. Cork is a fantastic city, I went around 3 years ago now and had a great time. It feels more like a Mediterranean city in feel than a Northern European one. I wouldn't mind going back over.

Yes, the any-id-will-do agreement was rescinded a few years ago ironically enough when -other- countries started bombing you.

You'd be more than welcome, there are at least 2 different groups of people come over from England (one lot from somewhere called Tamworth, I think) to watch us a few time a season, and we see yank/english tourists quite regularly.

Cork is a brilliant night out, think I ended up in Reardens when I was over there last March. Think Jet 2 go there from Newcastle too.

Na Chip - no passport needed. Went for the youngest lads stag do last year and didnt have a passport, just used one of the photo id driving licences and they were fine. And Dublin was just an immense pi$$ up - WAY too expensive. Heard very good reports of more rural Ireland and would like to visit again myself later.

We could definitely arrange that! The annual (soon to be twice annual) 7 a side supporters cup was only a few weeks ago, herself upstairs organised it.

If we go bust on monday and manage to secure relegation to the amateurs instead of non-existence, you might very well be playing the first team :D

The best games are usually against Bohemians as in bigger crowds more athmosphere. Bring your man Cornelius and Mr I with you we'd definitly show them a good time.Take them to west Cork and loose them down there rolfl
